How the price is worked out
Sawn timber is priced by volume. For each line of your list:
CFT = width (in) × thickness (in) × length (ft) × pieces ÷ 144
The amount is the total CFT multiplied by the rate per CFT for the wood you choose. A quote may show separate rates for first and second quality timber, so you can pick what suits the job. Want to check the numbers yourself? Use our wood CFT calculator and send the list straight to us on WhatsApp.
What to include in your cutting list
- The wood - for example Burma teak or mahogany.
- Each size as width × thickness in inches and length in feet, for example 6″ × 4″ × 10 ft.
- How many pieces of each size.
- What it is for (door frame, furniture, construction), so we can suggest the right wood and grade.
- Your location, if you want it delivered.
